Britmums is this month!!

Last Updated on 10 October 2023 by Colette Burgess

Hurrah, it’s June!  That means we can finally say “I’m going to Britmums this month!”  I’m a little sad that I won’t be attending with my friend Kate as I had originally planned – she will be otherwise engaged having a baby!

This is actually going to be my first time at Britmums, last year I wanted to go but didn’t really feel big enough – that might seem an odd thing to say but I didn’t feel that my blog was big enough to be sponsored and I guess I didn’t really feel like a “proper blogger” – by the time June came round I had changed my mind and really wanted to go however it happened to fall on the same weekend as my husband’s annual charity bike ride – so I followed on social media and had a little sulk with myself whilst promising that next year would be different.

This is how I spent Britmums Live last year!

And here I am, next year is now.  Luckily Dave’s bike ride is actually this weekend so there’s no clash this year!  I’m delighted to have sponsorship to attend the event (which I will tell you all about later in the post) and my hotel and travel is all sorted – thank goodness for a lovely group of North West bloggers for taking me under their wing there, I didn’t think I was going to have to be super brave and do the whole thing on my own at one point!

So in three weeks time I’ll be heading down to London to meet up with lots of wonderful bloggers – some whom I see regularly, others I will be meeting for the very first time.  I’m a bit rubbish at recognising people (and putting names to blogs) so please do come and say Hi if you see me – and pretend to ignore me taking a sneaky look at your badge whilst I work out who you are!

This is what I look like!

I’ve attended a few blog conferences now and always really enjoy the mix of learning, inspiration and general socialising.  I believe that Britmums is pretty big compared to what I’m used to but I don’t feel too nervous at the moment – just excited!  I know I’m going to come away with new friends and even more new ideas.

So who are my sponsors for Britmums this year?  Well you may have noticed a new badge in my sidebar recently but just in case you haven’t this is what it looks like:

I’m really thrilled to be working with tommee tippee for the next year as one of their mumbassadors!  tommee tippee have been a brand I’ve trusted from the start of my journey as a mother – from the Closer to Nature bottles and microwave steriliser I used with Ben and Chloe to the first sippy cups and leak proof drinking bottles which they’ve all used.  I very much doubt there has been a time in the last 6 years where there hasn’t been a tommee tippee product or two in my house!

As part of my role as a tommee tippee Mumbassador I will be bringing you reviews and giveaways throughout the year so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those!

  1. Ooh what a lovely sponsor, big tommee tippee fans here, in fact they were the only bottles my little breast feeders would use and as the factory is only just along the road we find a lot of good deals in our local shops!

Have a fab time at Brit mums I'll look forward to your posts
