Daisy Nook (made famous for playing host to an illegal Lockdown rave) is popular with families, dog walkers, runners, mountain bikers and even horse riders (from the nearby riding school).
There’s plenty to explore with a huge lake which plays host to an array of wild life (we’ve spotted a heron before now!), woodland, two play areas (one of which has recently been refurbished) and waterways – there even used to be a couple of highland cows but they’ve moved on now.
The footpaths around Daisy Nook are narrow in places and often muddy (especially near Crime Lake) but they are generally pushchair friendly.
You’ll also find toilets (with disabled access) and a small cafe in the Daisy Nook car park – though if I’m honest this is nothing to write home about, we’ve bought an ice cream once or twice but they’re nothing special so we tend not to bother. (If you’re looking for a nice pub lunch or a pint after your walk, check out local dog friendly pub; Woodhouse Gardens)
Parking for Daisy Nook
There are two free car parks for Daisy Nook providing limited free parking – one at Crime Lake (OL8 3NZ) and one for Daisy Nook Country Park (M35 9WJ).
