Once Upon A Time Dominoes, Orchard Toys – Review

We’ve been huge fans of Orchard Toys for quite some time now.  In fact my sister and I had a few Orchard Toys games as children ourselves. 

The most recent addition to our ever expanding collection is the Once Upon A Time Dominoes – this is basically just your standard game of dominoes however rather than matching spots you’re matching fairytale characters.  A great introduction to a time honoured game!

What we love about it: 

• As you would expect from Orchard Toys the dominoes are good quality and robust enough to withstand the game being played over and over
• The dominoes are a great size for little hands and perfect for playing on the floor
• It encourages observational skills
• Memory and matching skills
• Trying to make the most of your “hand” can also develop problem solving skills
• As with any game of this sort it’s great for learning that important life skill of taking turns!
• It can be played just as easily with two people as four meaning Ben and Chloe are able to play independently

What we’re not so keen on: 

• Nothing! It’s fabulous!
