Although February proffered us a much needed half term – a break from home learning, a break from work and a break from routine – it was a half term that felt wasted in many ways. It wasn’t full of the usual play dates and adventures or even the ice skating lessons we had hoped to book.
We ended up doing very little at all through half term – in fact some days we didn’t leave the house. I caught up on work, the kids spent a lot of time lounging on the sofa with screens in hand. It was what we needed.
Outside of half term, there’s been some lengthy walks (a record 7 miles one Saturday morning which near broke Amy and I!) and very little else of note. Please March, bring sunshine and socialising – we need it.
