This little conversation occurred whilst eating lunch. . .
Mummy: Ben, you need to remember that Father Christmas is watching you all the time.
(Ben turns round slowly and looks out of the dining room window then turns back to Mummy)
Mummy: He’s watching you and wondering if you’re a good boy who should be allowed a big green trailer or if you’ve been naughty and don’t deserve anything.
(Ben looks out of the window again)
Ben: A big one? With a big trailer for lots of animals?
Mummy: Yes he might bring that . . . if you’ve been really good.
(Ben thinks for a second)
Ben: I’m really sorry for spitting Mummy.
