The Easter holidays are the perfect time to enjoy a little spring sunshine with some outdoor adventures and Easter egg hunts. With that in mind, I thought I’d put together a list of great things to do in York this Easter.

Easter 2026 falls right at the start of April this year: Good Friday – 3rd April 2026 and Easter Sunday – 5th April 2026. Traditionally the Easter holidays fall one week either side of the Easter bank holiday weekend however lots of authorities go for the first two weeks of April off as standard.

I’m hope that this year we’ll see a return of all the usual Easter egg hunts and spring themed activities in York and the surrounding area – I’m updating this post regularly as news of events is published so do keep checking back!

I’ve tried to include Easter events in chronological order but lots of them run throughout the holidays so it’s definitely worth having a good scroll through to see what’s on in York this Easter!
