[I am steadily updating this post with information about September festivals in 2026 as it becomes available – if you know something I don’t, please let me know and I’ll add it in!]
If you had serious festival fomo last summer and seeing social media awash with August bank holiday festival joy had you itching to eek out those last moments of summer and don your waterproofs and some glitter for a weekend of alfresco music, why not have a look at these September festivals. (Not all of these festivals will be family friendly – click here for our recommendations for child friendly festivals)
September seems to be a funny month for festivals – one that sees a lot of movement and 2026 is no different – especially with the August bank holiday so late this year nudging lots of festivals onto the first weekend in September. For the past few years that I’ve been collating this list of September festivals, I’ve noticed festivals that have been previously held in September jumping back to earlier in the year – sometimes just to August, other times as far back as June – so if there’s a festival you were expecting to see here, have a look at our festival guide to find festival listings for other months and see if it has popped up there!
I am adding to this list of September festivals all the time so it’s worth checking back if you don’t find something that tickles you fancy!

Happy Place Festival, Tatton Park, Cheshire – Saturday 5th / Sunday 6th September 2026
Billed as an “inclusive, inspiring and feel good festival experience involving immersive workshops, inspiring talks and delicious food”, Happy Place is a one day festival with events taking place in Chiswick in July and then Tatton Park at the start of September.
I’ve personally been a big fan of Fearne’s Happy Place podcast for a few year’s now and had quite fancied attending the Happy Place festival since it’s launch in 2019 so booked tickets for the Sunday at Tatton Park in 2022. We absolutely loved our breath workshop but did find that outside of the paid for classes and talks, it was hard to fill our time – we didn’t stay all day and I definitely wouldn’t have needed a full weekend ticket. That said, for less than £40 we didn’t mind!
Tickets for Happy Place Festival at Tatton Park are available to book online now priced from £38.50 – there are VIP packages available at £180 a day which include various benefits along with a meet and great with Fearne Cotton herself. It’s worth noting that some talks and classes need booking in advance and are subject to additional charges. (Knowing Tatton Park, there will be a parking charge as well!)

With hundreds of acts over 8 unique stages, get ready for a genre-hopping mishmash of must-see performances in the UK’s best-kept-secret festival location – overlooking Holy Island!
