It’s ages since I’ve shared a family photo – in fact if we’re being honest it’s ages since I’ve taken one. Getting everyone in front of the camera at once has never been especially easy but it seems to be even harder these days and if I’m honest I’ve just got out of practice. But, here we are, all five of us thanks to a lovely passerby in Conwy who saw us struggling to balance the camera on a wall . . .

Team Burgess - October 2024

I used to love writing these little monthly round ups and sharing a snapshot of what we’ve been enjoying – I’d like to say I’m going to get back into the habit of doing it more often but I think we all know that’s highly unlikely!

Dave is loving

* Margs at Ramona
* Maximo Park at New Century Hall
* October sunshine (we were on holiday in Turkey at the start of the month!)
* Ear kisses from Lottie
* Successfully fitting a fancy new door

Colette is loving

* Cinnamon buns
* Watching Ben play rugby (even in the rain)
* A fancy new internal door
* Getting the washing on the line occasionally
* Seeing Becky Hill and Maximo Park within days of each other

Ben is loving

* Walking home from school as often as possible (though I think he’s going to have to swap his trainers for walking boots soon if he wants to keep walking on wet days!)
* Rugby (especially getting some tackles in!)
* Researching pet snakes
* No Such Thing as a Fish live
* Meeting Lottie

Chloe is loving

* Her cosy new adidas hoodie
* Having a tidy bedroom
* A belated birthday shopping day with Aunty Custard
* Having Faye over for a sleepover
* Volunteering with the younger kids at boxing
* Becky Hill

Amy is loving

* Counting down to her birthday (and finally getting her very own phone)
* Getting to see Becky Hill at Leeds Arena
* New clothes from Vinted
* Hanging out with Millie
* October half term adventures

Poppy is loving

* Lottie
* Weetabix
* Chasing leaves
