Siblings – January 2016

And so begins another year.  This time last year our Sibling relationships were very different, Amy was just taking her first steps, and it was hard to get all three of them in the same place never mind looking at the camera.  I wondered at the time if I would manage to keep up with the monthly Sibling photos, if indeed it would ever be easy to photograph them all together!  A year later and it’s still not exactly “easy” to photograph them – but they will at least all stand / sit together and look vaguely in the direction of the camera (though perhaps not at the same time!).

This month’s photos are (quite clearly) from Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve – what better time to get snaps of all three of them together?  The three of them loved the Christmas holidays, revelled in each other’s company and kept each other fully entertained.  Their relationships blossomed as they played imaginatively – acting out their own versions of the Nativity (this was a particularly random one) or being kings, queens, mums, dads and anything else you can possibly think of.

I love being able to listen to them playing together, they don’t need our help or interference (except for perhaps sorting out the odd disagreement), they are a team and the love each other dearly.

(You may notice a “thumbs up” theme running through these pictures – this was instigated by Ben tough I hadn’t realised how often they were doing it till I put this set of photos together.  I particularly love Amy’s attempts each time!)

Gorgeous! These did make me smile and I love the thumbs up theme. My son always goes for the finger up option first and I find it totally adorable! x

My sister chose their dresses, she has good taste right?
I think they've just got used to it and know it's better to just let me take some quick photos and then I'll leave them alone!

Oh what beautiful shots (I love the girls' Christmas dresses) and yay for the thumbs up – Kitty picked up something similar from the show at Legoland over the summer so all my summer pictures she's doing a thumbs up pose – too funny!

Look at those gorgeous dresses. And off they run. 🙂 Great photos. I wish I would get to take photos like that. Mine always turn out blurry because one of them is definitely moving lol But I take mine mainly with my phone. #siblings

Thank you! I do take a lot of photos, believe me there's a lot of blurred shots deleted! I find it easier to get shots outside where the lighting is better to there's less chance of blur x
