This is my first siblings post of the year, and in fact of the new decade – it shouldn’t be of course, it should be the third – but such is life! With what felt like months of continuous poor weather through January and February, we hardly left the house. Everything was dark and a bit miserable and that rarely leaves me inspired to get my camera out.
Earlier this month, I took the opportunity to get the kids out to our local park for some fresh air and took my big camera with me – something I’ve been generally quite slack about of late, tending to rely on my mobile phone for snaps.
For the most part my little gang are plodding along as usual, mostly getting on really well but occasionally annoying the hell out of each other. At the moment, it’s Ben and Amy who are winding each other up the most – he tries to tell her what to do, gets cross and shouts at her – often he’s right that she should / shouldn’t be doing whatever it is he’s cross with her for, but the tone of his voice gets him into as much trouble as her! We keep reminding him that it’s not his job to tell her what to do!
The mornings are often a prime time for bickering and we’re also going through a phase of finding it quite funny to wrestle and climb on top of each other – which almost always ends in tears but they won’t be told! (I remember being much the same with my little sister!)
As the weather is steadily improving, we’re looking forward to more adventures and fresh air, though of course with the current global health situation it is difficult to make plans and look too far ahead. . .
