I’ve been thinking about doing this for months but never quite got round to it. I bought a “Year a day” diary for each of them at the start of this year with the intention of writing in them as much as possible – the funny things that Ben has said or when Chlo has learnt to do something new . . . Epic fail. I managed to do it once. Much as I’d like to provide them both with a handwritten record when they’re older in reality I know that this is going to be easier – I can type faster and clearer than I can write! At least I know it’s safe for the future this way too.
Hopefully this way I can keep a track of things and add photos in a more personal way than Facebook!
Even just today I’ve blogged for each of them as Chloe has learnt to crawl and Ben has been playing with letters and sounds (making his teacher Mummy very proud!!!)
I’m not sure at the moment if this will work out to be individual posts for them (as I’ve done today) or more of a diary entry. We shall see.
I'm exactly the same! Have all sorts of diaries and notebooks to write stuff down about the kids but they have just a couple of pages filled in. A blog is such a great way to capture all the special moments – and the ordinary ones too!x
Me too. I like to capture thoughts and images on my blog, which has gradually evolved from a general personal one to a more daddy-focussed affair. I hope that one day my kids will read some of what I've written, to find out more about how both they and we were when they were young.
and here you are 2 years later still writing, happy blog birthday x
