The Christmas Boutique – Review

A couple of weeks ago we received a surprise package from The Christmas Boutique – the package itself wasn’t a surprise as I had to agree to review some items, however the contents were.  Having not chosen for myself what was coming it was a little like Christmas opening up the package and exploring each of the treasures inside.

What sane person spends a good chunk of their Saturday afternoon in November hanging Christmas decorations on a tree in the back garden so she can photograph them?  Oh right yes, that would be me . . .

Set of Three Glass Star Baubles – £9.99
This set of three blue glass star baubles gives a wintry frosted look to your Christmas tree – the blue / grey colour mix will sit will on my large Christmas tree which used to be mainly silver but is slowly succumbing to whatever is thrown at it.  When I first took the baubles out of the packaging I wasn’t that keen on them but when I saw them hung on the tree in the garden they grew on me!

Knitted Look Christmas Washing Line – Currently on offer at £6.49
I’m afraid this decoration really didn’t appeal to me at all.  I think it’s a bit odd really – much as I have to do washing ALL the time I don’t want to be reminded of that by my Christmas decorations, it really doesn’t seem very festive.  I also didn’t think it looked particularly nice and even on offer at half price I think it’s very expensive for what it is.  All in all a very strange decoration which really wouldn’t suit my home at all.

Snowman on a Swing – 12.99
I love these little snowmen ornaments!  I know Ben and Chloe will really like them too.  We have one on a swing and one which stands by himself so he’ll look cute on a shelf near the tree I think.  It should be noted that the snowmen are heavier than your average tree decoration so you need to make sure they’re securely attached to your tree!

Two Prancing White Reindeer – 5.99
This pair of white reindeer will look lovely prancing and dancing around your Christmas tree – the bright white is set off beautifully against the dark green of your Christmas tree (or shrub in the garden in my case!)

Pair of Wintry Fluffy Bears – 9.99
These bears are really cute but not something I would necessarily hang on my Christmas tree, more likely that I would sit them together on a shelf.  They are very friendly looking little dudes!

Large Red Felt Christmas Present Sack – 14.99
This large red felt present sack is just gorgeous.  As I have three children I decided it would be strange for each of them to have a different present sack so I’m not actually going to use this for having presents delivered but will stuff it and use it as a decoration next to the Christmas tree I think!

What do you think?  Do you have a “theme” for your Christmas decorations?

  1. I love these! Christmas is my favourite celebration in the year. I go all out on decorations and these are lovely – particularly the baubles 🙂 x
