This month’s Siblings photos were taken on a short adventure in Manchester city centre – I needed to pick up my new prescription sunglasses so we took the opportunity to go for a walk and do a Treasure Trail. The weather was kind (though colder than we had anticipated) and we were all really excited to be walking somewhere different for a change – somewhere that didn’t involve mud or hills!
Being in town felt really novel – and I couldn’t decide if I was happy to see the kids so excited, or just heartbroken that going for a walk in the city centre was now such a treat! They were so giddy running through the empty streets of Manchester, leap frogging things and generally messing around. It was nice to be able to let them do that as, typically if we were in the city like that I’d be worried about them getting in people’s way!
They made such a good team, taking it in turns to read out the clues and directions and then working together to solve them! They were all shattered by the time we’d finished and very pleased with their McDonalds lunch as a reward for completing the challenge! (Dave and I swerved Maccy D’s in favour of a takeaway from Ezra & Gil!)

Thankfully, over the course of the last week, the three of them have finally returned to full time school – something we were all more than ready for – however, in the same breath I’m already counting down to the Easter holidays as I’m tired from teaching this term and ready for a couple of weeks off, but also because I’m so excited to be able to see people! We are lucky that, as long as nothing goes wrong in the meantime, the proposed changes mean we will be able to see my Mum, Dad and sister on Easter Sunday and then catch up with friends over the Easter holidays which will feel amazing! We might even manage a lunch out if the weather is kind! Fingers crossed!!
