6 places to play laser tag near Manchester

Last Updated on 1 June 2025 by Colette

As a teenager, the very first date I ever went on was to a laser tag place near me – I don’t remember much about it other than that I was completely rubbish at it. I’m sure there are some sort of laser tag tactics but I’m very much just a point, shoot and hope for the best kinda girl when it comes to these things! I’m also not very good at hiding.

Laser tag is ideal for birthday parties, stag dos or just for something a bit different to do on a weekend or in the school holidays. Typically laser tag venues in Manchester are indoors so you don’t need to worry too much about the weather.

Do make sure you check the minimum age before booking as this varies from venue to venue.

The best places to play laser tag in Greater Manchester

There are a few places in Manchester where you can play laser tag and I’ve listed those below (of course if you know of any I’ve missed, then shout up and I’ll add them in)

Laser Quest Manchester, The Trafford Centre, Trafford Park, Stretford, Manchester M17 8DF

Laser Tag is like playing a live computer game: a mess-less, bruise-less, zero contact war-game played with state of the art infra red equipment! Laser Quest’s atmospheric, multi-level arena also features audio visual effects to really make the experience realistic.

Unique to Laser Quest Trafford Centre, on the lower level of the Laser Quest arena you’ll find the Matrix tunnel which is made up of a multitude of zigzagging laser beams. You must de-activate the lasers by tagging the targets on the outside of the matrix tunnel or risk being zapped and losing 50 points as you enter the matrix itself!

Battlefield Live Pennine, Park Hall, Park Hall Rd, Charnock Richard, Chorley PR7 5LP

Battlefield LIVE is an authentic team combat entertainment experience using military grade infra-red gaming guns. There’s no paintballs or airsoft pellets flying around, so there’s no expensive ammo to buy and absolutely no pain.

This is not your average “laser-tag” game but more a live action version of the likes of Fortnite or Call of Duty with complex missions involving skill, accuracy and quick thinking! Teamwork is key!

Laser Tag at Play Factore, Trafford Quays Leisure Village, 7 Trafford Way, Trafford Park, Stretford, Manchester M41 7JA

Pick up a laser gun and step into the intergalactic Laser Tag Arena at Play Factore.

This state of art indoor laser tag arena has transformed into a galaxy far, far away with an exciting Star Wars theme!

With blaster in hand, both kids and adults can compete against each other with an ultraviolet backdrop of their favourite Star Wars characters in a smoke filled laser tag arena.

Laser Tag at Play Factore is only available during peak times.
