Two months! Two months have passed already? Surely not!
I have no idea what Amy weights right now as I’ve not been to clinic to get her weighed (slack mother?) but I can confirm she is heavier than she was two months ago! She’s definitely pushing the ends of her 0-3 month sleepsuits now though in fairness I didn’t think they’d fit her as long as they have! I’m still sticking fiercely to my “no clothes before 3 months rule” – by which I mean she will only be wearing sleepsuits rather than I’m carrying the poor sausage about naked!
We’ve been brave and started to try the odd cloth nappy. I wrote a while ago that I was considering taking the “fluffy route” with Amy (To fluff or not to fluff . . . ) but hadn’t had the nerve to actually make the leap! We have some gnappies which we’ve been using with disposable liners – I’m getting to grips with them but they are a few changes a day rather than a full time commitment. We’re going to be trying some Fuzzinbunz over the next couple of months too.
Sleep continues to improve – she’s now going to bed between 10.30pm and 11.30pm, on a particularly good night (like last night) she will sleep through till 6.15am but usually there’s a feed around 4ish. I certainly can’t complain! She’s starting to be more fussy of an evening and I think she’s getting ready for more of a bedtime routine and some earlier nights. We are going to give her a week or so now that we’re back to normal and see if she settles herself into a more regular sleeping pattern during the day.
Amy enjoyed her first Christmas, we were impressed that the was quite settled during the course of the week we were at Mum and Dad’s and slept really well during the night.
Her hair has a real wave to it when it’s damp so looks really big when she’s had a bath – like we’ve popped a little wig on her! She loves her bath time and is SO relaxed when we wash her hair. Ben and Chloe love to have her in there with them too.
The single biggest change in the last month has been the smiles though . . . at first they were rare but in the last couple of days she has been smiling more freely for Dave and I, she even smiled at Ben yesterday and he was thrilled!

It really doesn't last long does it x
She is a Little Beauty! My Little Monkey had a mass of hair just like your Little One when he was born, Its no wonder I had shares in Rennies whilst pregnant lol ;), Enjoy the rest of your week x
You know I've always thought that was just an old wives tale but each of my children has been born with quite a bit of hair and I've had terrible heartburn each time so maybe there is some truth to it!?
You have a beautiful daughter and have lots of exciting times ahead. I think the no clothes idea is a great one by the way! 🙂

Thank you 🙂 I think so too but then I guess that's just Mummy bias!
I refuse to dress them in "proper" clothes when they're tiny – so much easier to change a sleepsuit and much more comfortable for them!
Arrrr they grow so fast!! Can't believe mine are 2 next month! Lovely pics 🙂
Where's the pause button!!! #MMWBH

Ooo I missed the s off sorry she 🙁 typing quick between toddler nap xx
She is absolutely adorable Colette! And how quickly she has come on! We tried gNappies too – in all honesty I couldn't use them full time, I'm not patient enough and I hate to say it but I don't care about the environment enough! I'm also a bit rubbish at getting my babies weighed, but you know yourself that they are OK if they are feeding well and everything. Amy's sleep routine sounds great as well for her age – Rosie is 10 months now and she is still a bit of bother in the night! Mind you, that's entirely our fault because we put her in with us and she likes to cuddle and snuggle.
I love how your blog documents your baby growing. I think I may take a leaf out of your book write a post on my baby's development. It's so lovely for us to look back on xxx
Oh my goodness, she's cute and tiny x
Amy is so cute in the photos. She does seem to have lovely thick hair. Nice for a little girl, as she is so pretty. Her hair being dark she is likely to suit wearing colours.

So lovely! I love the way all young babies sleep the same, with their arms up.
